TM: So, Oliver, I can call you Oliver?

OLIVER: Yes, that is fine, that or Love Muffin, Snuggle Bunny, etc. I answer to quite a few names actually.

TM: I’ve heard. So, I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to do this interview. I know you have a lot of sleeping; sniffing; play groups; ball chasing to do and taking this time is just great of you.

OLIVER: Oh, I’ve been looking forward to it, to let my fans and admirers know more about me. I’m really happy to do it.

TM: That’s great, and I know your admirers appreciate it too. Speaking of balls, I couldn’t help noticing you brought one with your today. That is a lovely shade of blue too. Forgive me, but I can’t help asking, did you just come back from ball playing?

OLIVER: No, actually I’m going to the a park right after this for some ball chasing.

TM: OK, well lets jump right into it. The first thing I would like to ask is about your local fame. How has that effected you, your life, your personal relationships, and doing normal things, like peeing on a tree, that the rest of us can do without having people rushing over across the street to take a photo. That must be difficult.
And how do you feel about these people, that is your fans? Is it disruptive?

OLIVER: Actually, all the attention is quite normal for me. You see from the time a was a puppy, my earliest memories include lots of people making over me, taking photos. I don’t really know life any other way. Truth is, I really enjoy it. I wouldn’t have it any other way and so I’m very happy with the way it just like that. Frankly, I like getting my head patted, or to get petted.
Now I have to admit, I’ve never been too keen about all the photo taking. The way I see it, is that is taking time away from head patting, and the like. However, I also quickly realized, that it is all part of the game, so early on I resigned myself to the photography. I’ve also learned how to pose, and stand still for the photo. The quicker I do this, the quicker we can get back to some serious petting and snuggling.
Part two of your question, how do I feel about all these people I think I may have already answered. In short, I just love my fans, all of them. I know some celebrities have issues with the paparazzi, and all the requests for autographs, etc., and consider it disruptive to their lives, but for me, it is part of my life. All the attention is a natural fit with who I am and with my personality.

TM: That is very interesting…. So when you are going for a walk, and you get unexpectedly detained, you don’t mind taking the time to greet your fans?

OLIVER: Not at all. I’ll always stop for my fans. Now mind you, it has been awkward on occasion to be caught with my leg up, at a tree, and a fan is staring and waiting for me to finish to rush over. Sometimes, I get the “oh you are so cute! Aren’t you just the sweetest little thing.” and so on while I’m still peeing! I know humans would be embarrassed by being caught peeing, but since I’m a dog, it doesn’t really bother me at all. It is just the awkwardness of waiting.

TM: ha ha! I see. Well, speaking of dog, what about dog fans. Do you have those too?

OLIVER: No not really. It may be that many are jealous of all the attention I get, while they may not get it, except for puppies of course. They always trump, in the attention arena. I’ve found with other dogs, it is the usual butt sniff thing, and we part company.

TM: What about cats?

OLIVER: Oh! Well, I’m not into cat chasing, so I really don’t encounter many, except this one friend, named Midge. I won’t give you her last name, to keep unanimity. She and I have a good, distance observation relationship. It has developed over the years but you know, it just isn’t the same as the ‘ol butt sniff’n we dogs do.

TM: That’s what I’ve heard. Well, I think we are about out of time, so I just want to say, you really are cute! I know you get it all the time, but it is true! May I pet you?

OLIVER: Thanks. Yes, please do.

TM: I want to thank you, and your fans out there want to thank you for taking this time for this interview. Maybe we could get some of your time again one day.

OLIVER: No problem. I really enjoyed this too, so I hope we can again. I’ll just have to have my look at my schedule and see when, but for you, I’ll always make time.
